Save The Allegheny is a regional environmental and citizen advocacy organization that formed in response to the lack of transparency by Coudersport Area Municipal Authority (CAMA) regarding their partnership with Epiphany Environmental to create a frac wastewater treatment plant to work in conjunction and alongside our local sewage treatment plant. CAMA chose to not include the public in this community transforming project. This is a cause to restore our rights.
Of special concern is the proximity of the frac wastewater treatment facility to the Coudersport Area Elementary School, downwind one mile from leased site.
Coudersport Area Municipal Authority (CAMA) recently leased land to Epiphany Allegheny LLC, a company planning to build a frack waste treatment plant along the Allegheny River in Coudersport, PA
Ephiphany Allegheny LLC applied to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for an Air Quility exemption & facility related permits which are awaiting approvial. If approved, Epiphany’s Centralized Waste Treatment facility would be the first of its kind in Pennsylvania. As such, this exemption could potentially compromise the air quality and the health of the citizens of Coudersport since no information is available with regard to the impacts on the environment and public health.

"The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania’s public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the Commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people."
